The birds cut out so cleanly that the wings and tails stayed perfectly intact, which is rare for shaped cutters. I used them for shortbread and got two distinct silhouettes that really pop on a tray.
The two designs are distinct enough that my cookies actually look like different birds, not just the same shape twice. They cut through chilled dough cleanly and the edges stayed sharp after a rinse in the dishwasher. I'm already planning a spring-themed batch for a baby shower.
I've used these for a few weekend bakes now and both bird designs stamp out cleanly every time, even in softer dough. The smaller one is perfect for bite-sized biscuits that actually hold their shape.
