O Christmas tree, o Christmas tree, how tasty are your branches… this Gingerbread Christmas Tree Decorating Kit from Grandma Wild’s contains four little firs, all ready to decorate with the included icing and red ‘pearls’.

A fun decorate-it-yourself project, it’s a great way to get little ones involved in the run-up to Christmas. There’s no mixing or baking required – just turn out the delicious trees, pipe on white icing detail in any design you wish, then finish with the little red pearls. Perfect to present proudly as an after-dinner treat, they’d make fantastic little place settings with your guests’ names piped onto them, and great for kids to gift popped into little cellophane bags.

What’s in the kit

  • Four gingerbread trees – pre-baked pieces of Grandma Wild’s deliciously spiced gingerbread.
  • Easy-to-use icing tube – white icing to add piped-on detail.
  • Red ‘pearls’ – to finish off your trees.

Bought this to keep two kids busy on a rainy afternoon and the decorating kept them happy for a solid hour. The gingerbread itself actually tastes good too, nice and spiced rather than just plain sweet. Only wish there were a bit more icing in the tube.

The four little trees are the perfect size for my two kids to each decorate their own. The icing pouch was easy for small hands to squeeze, though we did run out before the last tree. Genuinely a fun Christmas Eve activity.
