The icing tube was a bit stiff to squeeze at first, but once it warmed up my daughter had no trouble piping a face and buttons. The gingerbread itself is softer than the crunchy kind, with a nice mild spice that isn't too strong for kids.

The pre-baked gingerbread man saved me a lot of mess with two kids, and the icing set had enough to actually cover the whole figure. My only gripe is that the little candy pieces ran out before the icing did.
