If there’s a bake more magical than an enchanted Hansel and Gretel-inspired biscuit cottage, then we don’t know what it is. And our Gluten Free Gingerbread House Kit means that everyone can join in with baking, building, decorating and eating – even those who usually have to miss out.

Delectable DIY

Baking a gingerbread house is a tradition that’s well worth keeping alive, and we think that gluten intolerance needn’t be a hindrance, so we put this special gluten-free baking kit together so that the whole family can enjoy creating a festive abode that’s a feast for the eyes (and the tummy).

What’s in the box?

  • Simple instructions
  • Cardboard cut-out template
  • Piping bag
  • Gingerbread biscuit mix
  • Muscovado sugar
  • Royal icing mix
  • Rainbow and silver sugar pearls

Easy to make

Joanna from our Buying Team tested this kit, and we were super impressed with the end result. “It’s easy to make, and it tasted really good, too. All I needed to add was butter, syrup and water, and everything tasted just as it should.” Combine these simple ingredients with the gluten-free gingerbread mix in the box to make a dough; roll it out, then cut out the shapes using the template on the box. After baking and cooling, your flat-pack fairy-tale house will be ready to build and decorate with the included icing ‘snow’ and pastel-coloured sugar pearls. We promise it’ll be a December afternoon well spent.

Mia ★★★★☆

Didn't expect the gluten-free version to hold up so well during assembly, the walls actually stayed upright without extra icing. Only knock is that one roof panel arrived slightly cracked, but it was easy to patch with the frosting included.

The gluten-free gingerbread pieces held up way better than the last kit I tried — no crumbling when my daughter pressed the walls together. Icing was a bit runny and needed extra time to set, but the house stayed standing through Christmas.
